Design Associate (MID GD)

Design Associate (Mid-Level Graphic Design Position)

Indique is an internationally renowned hair extension brand with 14 retail boutiques across the United States and 1 location in South Africa. With an impressive client base that consists of Lady Gaga, Lala Anthony, Angela Simmons, Ciara, Jill Scott, Azealia Banks, Chanel ImanLaurieann Gibson and more, our brand is not only trusted by celebrity stylists across the country, but everyday women around the world.

We are looking for a sharp, motivated designer to work in the Art Department at our Corporate Offices in Needham, MA. If you’re looking to work in the beauty industry, you won’t find an experience more unique than this. If you have a startup mentality and truly want to help shape the future of our in-house creative capabilities, this might be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. The Design Associate will work under the direction of the Senior Design Manager to develop a variety of projects including web graphics, event graphics, promotions, catalogs, HTML emails, and packaging design. Because we’re an online retailer with brick and mortar locations as well, you must be versatile enough to execute materials for any environment. First and foremost, you’ll need to be an incredible, experienced graphic designer with a meticulous eye for detail and an impressive work ethic. Excelling in this environment also requires a firm understanding of our clients, our industry, and, specifically, what makes our product so unique. Of course, we don’t expect you to be an expert coming into the situation—your employment here will also involve a certain level of training and education to bring you up to speed on the inner-workings of this uniquely specific industry. You must also be willing to take off your “designer hat” every so often. While this is primarily a graphic design position, you will occasionally be relied upon to assist with project planning, product development and lots of other last minute requests that come with the territory of working for a small company with big dreams and an ever-evolving growth strategy.

Here’s what we’re looking for from you:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design (or a very closely related field) from an accredited 4-year institution
  • You have at least 2 years of studio/agency experience
  • You know Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign very well
  • You know at least a few other programs in the Creative Suite and are excited to learn more
  • You have experience working with HTML, CSS and content management systems
  • Developing email blasts is a breeze for you
  • You are detail oriented and very well organized
  • You can design for a brand with a well established identity and visual language
  • You consider yourself a “quick” designer and thrive in a fast-paced, agency-type environment with tight turnarounds
  • You can handle a large workload
  • You can complete an assignment independently, or, with very little guidance
  • Going “above and beyond” comes naturally to you
  • You loathe typos
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working very closely with a remote team is not a problem for you
  • You don’t mind traveling, when necessary
  • You have verifiable references

  • Competitive Salary
  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick time
  • 401k Retirement Plan
  • Free product bi-monthly valued at $2,700
